Alta river have always been an important part of life in Alta.

The river supports a wide ecosystem of plants and animals, in which gives a rich stream of fish for humans whom live here.

Alta river is considered one of the best salmon rivers in the world, its captured salmon that weights up to 25kg here every year.

Alta river has a very rich animal life where both eagles and goosanders hunt side by side.

 

The trip starts from CampAlta right outside Alta.

You will ladder aboard a long, thin riverboat of wood.

The riverboat is been used along the river for hundreds of years.

We sail upstream to lower Sierra, which is Alta rivers best fishing area.

On our trip upward, we can enjoy the view of the nature and the bird life alongside the riverside.

If lucky, we may see both elk and eagles.

Here we enter land and have a cup coffee or a bottle of soda as we look after jumping big salmons.

 

Duration of 2 to 2,5 hours

 

The trip includes safety vest, coffee and cold drinks.
